They used the Frequency Separation technique in Photoshop to smooth out her complexion, but both overdid it and neglected to add noise back into the overall image if it was going to the web. It also should have been feathered at the neck. CMYK and offset printing more or less do this for you, if you're going to print. The shadow line on her left cheek should also have been softened. I think the black jacket was also a mistake, as she needed to be broadlit so severely to bring out some form that her face... eh.
My takeaway is a suspicion that the best professionals are either leaving print or aging to the point they don't update their skillsets. Either that or she's Dorian Gray.
