wow, a jew scams millions of shitlibs out of their money and Trump gets to point out how this is yet another example of fake news bullshit.
:niggershine:

I saw something today where a decade ago, some Canadian author wrote a book about the fire bombing of Germany during WWII entitled Fire and Fury, the same name of this shitlib fantasy book.
This guy's book jumped to #3 on Amazon's best seller list because shitlibs are so retarded they accidentally bought this book instead of Wolff's book. So libs made some random Canadian guy rich by accident. lol Trump's so powerful he can get libs to make some random dude no one has ever heard of rich by accident.

Hannity reporting Russian-troll dossier used for FISA warrant. Shit -> fan time. This scenario (FISA abuse for spying on an opposing presidential candidate) was in the category of "cartoon-villian hypothetical" when people were originally freaking out about the existence of the hidden courts and mass surveillance capabilities of the NSA. I guess the Dems were stupid enough to actually do it. They're all going to jail.

There was never any FISA warrant.
Probably there was, but the "NSA Google" searches happened first.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/01/10/confirmation-doj-and-fbi-used-steele-dossier-for-application-to-fisa-court-for-search-authority-on-trump-campaign/

Quote
It can be difficult to see through the wording to understand the accurate story. Sara Carter and Fox News are both confirming the DOJ and FBI used the Steele Dossier to get FISA-702 Data Surveillance Authority allowing them to spy on Trump campaign officials.

In the latest developments, as reported by Sara Carter and Fox News, the DOJ and FBI used the sketchy ‘Steele Dossier’ as the foundation for their FISA application. WATCH:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6gfo5EQkxs

Both Carter and Hannity use the term “FISA Warrants”, however in the interest of understanding, and accurately portraying what took place, it was not technically a “warrant” as we traditionally think about it.

A warrant implies advanced judicial approval to begin surveillance and collecting emails and phone calls etc. Like a traditional Title III DOJ / law enforcement search warrant. But that’s not how FISA-702 works.

The FISA database, run by the NSA hub, already holds all the information, all the emails, texts, phone calls etc. The information already exists in a database. There are two steps to access the database of information:

♦Step One is to “Query” the database for your subject. That search needs a factual legal reason to take place; like an ongoing investigation. That search then returns an outcome, a set of information based on the “query” parameters. If the user gets a positive response to the “query” then Yes, the database holds information related to what they are looking for. Remember, there has to be a preexisting investigation to do the query.

♦Step Two is to “Open” the data set. That’s the step that needs a “search warrant” to be legal. That second step, the ‘looking at the information’ is where an approval from the FISA court is needed. The investigator must fill out a FISA application and go to the FISA Court for approval. In order to get a FISA Court approval the investigator must show a valid reason for the search.

As reported by Sara Carter and Fox News, the DOJ and FBI used the sketchy ‘Steele Dossier’ as the foundation for their FISA application.

Example (not real):

Quote
•Step One: The DOJ/FBI official puts “Jared Kushner” into the search query. This generates a number of responses. Perhaps his emails, phone call logs, actual intercepted recordings of his calls, or text messages, etc. (everything the NSA hub captures “about” Jared Kushner). There has to be a valid investigative reason in this step. An investigation of Jared Kushner must be underway.

•Step Two: The DOJ/FBI official then quarantines the returned information and applies to the FISA Court for permission to review it. The FBI/DOJ official has to tell the court why they want to look, ie. the FISA application. The FISA court grants the application and gives the FBI/DOJ official the approval. The application must have a legal basis as presented to the court – similar to that needed for a search warrant.

In 2016 NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers noted there were numerous FISA-702(17) unauthorized “About Queries” being conducted by the intelligence community. These are queries that did not have an underlying investigation to support their taking place.

In essence, government officials were searching the system for information “About” U.S. principals not under any legal investigation. On October 26th 2016 Admiral Rogers reported those unauthorized searches to the FISA court and shut down the “About Query” process permanently. (Full Backstory)

SARA CARTER – The unverified dossier alleging connections between President Trump’s campaign and the Russians was used as evidence by the FBI to gain approval from a secret court to monitor members of Trump’s team, this reporter has learned.

A large portion of the evidence presented in the salacious 35-page dossier put together by former British spy Christopher Steele, has either been proven wrong or remains unsubstantiated. However, the FBI gained approval nevertheless to surveil members of Trump’s campaign and “it’s outrageous and clearly should be thoroughly investigated,” said a senior law enforcement source, with knowledge of the process.

Multiple sources told this reporter that the dossier was used along with other evidence to obtain the warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, known as FISC. The sources also stressed that there will be more information in the coming week regarding systemic “FISA abuse.”

“(The dossier) certainly played a role in obtaining the warrant,” added another senior U.S. official, with knowledge of the dossier. “Congress needs to look at the FBI officials who were handling this case and see what, if anything, was verified in the dossier. I think an important question is whether the FBI payed anything to the source for the dossier.” (read more)

President Obama’s political operatives within the DOJ-NSD were using FISA 702(17) surveillance “about inquiries” that would deliver electronic mail and phone communication for U.S. people (Trump campaign). The NSD unit (John Carlin) was working in coordination with the FBI Counterintelligence Unit (Bill Priestap, Peter Strzok etc.) to look at Trump campaign activity. DOJ Attorney Lisa Page was the intermediary between the DOJ National Security Division and he FBI Counterintelligence Division.

All research indicates the information the DOJ and FBI collected via their FISA-702(16)(17) queries, and the stuff Fusion GPS was creating via Christopher Steele (The “Russian Dossier), was used to create the Russian Narrative, “The Insurance Policy“.

♦Ultimately, the people within all of these unlawful intercepts of information is what Devin Nunes discovered when he looked at the “unmasking requests” which were a result of those FISA 702(17) collections on Team Trump. That’s why Devin Nunes was so stunned at what he saw in February and March 2017.

The ENTIRE SYSTEM of surveillance and data collection was weaponized against a political campaign. They used the FISA Court to gain access to private data in order to monitor the Trump campaign and conduct surveillance on the officials therein.

Note: The NSA has or had Hillary's 33,000 deleted emails. They either still have them or the Obama admin deleted them.

Possible timeline:
What if Obama didn't actually delete them, Admiral Mike Rodger (head of the NSA at the time and recently retired) preserved them and delivered them to Trump?

ICE is raiding chink maternity hotels where Chinese women fly from Chinkland to give birth here in the US: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/feds-raid-l-maternity-hotel-birth-tourists-n315996

Quote
Southern California apartment complexes that doubled as "maternity hotels" for Chinese women who want made-in-America babies were raided early Tuesday, capping an unprecedented federal sting operation, officials said.

NBC News was on the scene as Homeland Security agents swept into The Carlyle, a luxury property in Irvine, California, which housed pregnant women and new moms who allegedly forked over $40,000 to $80,000 to give birth in the United States.

"I am doing this for the education of the next generation," one of the women told NBC News.

None of the women were arrested; they are being treated as material witnesses, and paramedics were on hand in case any of them went into labor during the sweep.

Instead, the investigation was aimed at ringleaders who pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars tax-free to help Chinese nationals obtain visas and then pamper them until they delivered in an American hospital at a discount, court papers show.

"It's not necessarily illegal to come here to have the baby, but if you lie about your reasons for coming here, that's visa fraud," said Claude Arnold, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations for Los Angeles.

All told, the feds raided 20 locations in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties, targeting three competing birth tourism schemes, officials said. The suspected operators have not been charged but are being questioned.

The organizers who allegedly ran the Carlyle site, Chao Chen and Dong Li, used a website to drum up business, touting the benefits of a child with U.S. citizenship: 13 years of free education, low-cost college financial aid, less pollution, and a path for the entire family to emigrate when the child becomes an adult.

Clients were counseled on what lies to tell to obtain a tourist visa; how to fly through Hawaii, Las Vegas or Korea to avoid suspicious immigration officers at Los Angeles International Airport; and how to disguise their pregnancy in transit, according to search warrant affidavit unsealed Tuesday.

The women were then set up at the Carlyle, which charges about $3,000 a month for a two-bedroom apartment and features amenities including private balconies, a resort-style pool, and cabanas with flat-screen televisions.

A neighbor, Linda Trust, told NBC News she did find it strange that she had seen a forklift deliver a huge pile of diapers to the buildings but had never seen a baby.

The women's handlers provided transportation for doctor visits and trips to restaurants and shops, the court papers say. An agent tailing one of the suspects followed them to Target and Babies R Us.

They were funneled to several Orange County hospitals to deliver, but they didn't pay full price — approximately $25,000 — for medical services, officials said. Instead, they got reduced rates for the indigent, ranging from nothing to $4,000, the court papers say.

That translated into big losses for the hospitals. More than 400 babies linked to the scheme were born at just one facility in a two-year period, investigators said.

The investigators discovered that the parents of one baby born in April 2014 who paid the hospital just $4,000 were spending money at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel, Rolex and Louis Vuitton, using an account with almost a quarter of a million dollars in it.

The fraud, authorities say, went beyond the visas.

Li didn't file a U.S. tax return and Chen didn't declare hundreds of thousands of dollars in proceeds, the affidavit says. In addition, Chen and his wife, Jie Zhu committed marriage fraud, pretending to be divorced so they could get "green-card" marriages in the U.S., the feds charged.

Efforts to reach Chen, Zhu and Li by phone were unsuccessful. It was not clear if they have retained legal counsel.

The phenomenon of foreigners coming to the U.S. to have babies is not new but appears to be growing. One study found that 40,000 children a year are born to women here on a travel visa, the affidavit notes.

IMAGE: Website allegedly used to recruit Chinese women to come to the U.S. to have their babies

Tuesday's crackdown marked the first large-scale federal probe of birth-tourism kingpins in the continental U.S.

In addition to the operation at the Carlyle, the feds zeroed in on two other alleged schemes.

Wen Rui Deng, Li Yan Lang and Wen Shan Sun were accused of charging women $10,000 to $25,000 to put them up at the Pheasant Ridge apartments in Rowland Heights, where the "one dragon service" included baby nurses, the court papers say.

A company called USA Happy Baby, run by Michael Wei Yueh Liu and Jing Dong, set up at The Reserves apartments in Rancho Cucamonga, authorities charged.

The probe into the Carlyle started in June 2014 when the Irvine Police Department received an anonymous tip about the scheme that was turned over to Homeland Security. Separately, U.S. Customs and Immigration Services received a similar tip.

An agent posed as a client who wanted to arrange for his cousin to give birth in America, and got Chen to spill the details of the scheme — from how his China-based employees would "prep" the woman for her consulate interview to why she should not fly straight to LA.

"I don't do it because it's too risky," he said. "That's because 90 percent of the work is already done before they come over, and if they get sent back on the same plane, then I'm the one to blame for it."

The investigators went through Li's trash, examined hospital records, followed the suspects and their clients on a trip to a Chinese restaurant and and combed through bank records.

At one point, Chen was caught on tape fretting to the undercover that the government might realize he was not paying taxes he owed on money he collected in China.

"I do file taxes but there are so any things that I can't explain clearly," he said.

Looks like Stephen Miller may be the one person who can save the country from DACAmnesty: http://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/article193871684.html

Quote
WASHINGTON
Here’s one thing even Republicans negotiating an immigration deal agree on: Trump aide Stephen Miller is hurting their chances of getting anything done.

They blame him for insisting the administration gets approval for an unrealistic number of immigration policies in exchange for protections for young people brought into the country illegally as children. They loathe his intensity when delivering his hardline views. And they accuse him of coordinating with outside advocacy groups that oppose their efforts.

“It's no secret that he’s an obstacle to getting anything done on immigration,” said a Republican House member involved in the immigration talks.

Many people involved in the immigration debate — Republicans and Democrats, Capitol Hill staffers and activists — complain that Miller is making already tough negotiations more difficult, according to 14 people familiar with the situation, half involved in negotiations. Most spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the president’s aide.

The House Republican lawmaker said it’s widely viewed that “to move past the speed bumps, there’s no option but to kind of get him out of the way.”

Yet Miller’s close relationship to the president, which spans the campaign and transition, means they are unlikely to do or say anything to get him out of the negotiations.

Major differences remain on immigration even after Trump and his top aides, including Miller, met with about two dozen members of Congress of both parties at the White House on Tuesday.

Some Republicans say Miller has tried to poison the deal with policies he knows will never survive a vote in the Senate, where Republicans hold a slim majority and are constantly searching for Democratic votes. “He’s trying to craft a deal he knows is not viable because he doesn’t want a deal,” said a Republican strategist who has long sought an immigration overhaul.

Miller declined to be interviewed for this story. Two senior White House officials described Miller as a policy expert Trump values who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise on immigration. “He is trying to make a deal,” one official said. “He doesn’t want to sabotage a deal.”

The White House said that Miller has great relationships with lawmakers and provided McClatchy with a list of four House Republican leaders’ offices to speak to about him. A spokesperson for one of them, Rep. Michael McCaul, a Texas Republican, referred calls to the House Committee on Homeland Security, which he chairs. But the office was not aware of the White House’s request that the chairman vouch support for Miller.

A second, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, a Virginia Republican and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, was not available to talk.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, issued a statement: “Stephen is an incredibly bright mind on immigration policy and reflects the administration’s focus in fixing our broken immigration system. He has been of tremendous value for members on the hill and for the administration during this debate.”

And in the fourth office, an aide to House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, said Miller has been up front about what the White House position is and that his interactions with the office had been “constructive recently.” A longtime Ryan staffer who works on immigration issues speaks to Miller regularly, sometimes even daily, the aide said.

But a senior GOP aide who had opposed Miller on immigration praised Miller. “Honestly knowing his background I thought he wouldn’t want a solution, but after dealing with him for several months I found his insights to be constructive and I truly believe he wants a deal,” the aide said. “He isn’t the problem, others are.”

Miller is Trump’s senior adviser for policy responsible for some of his most contentious policies, and he has been outspoken on immigration since he was in high school. He’s often called on to explain the administration’s overall view on the issue. “That’s his No. 1 concern,” said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, which shares many of his views.

In December, the White House invited Republican lawmakers from both chambers to a series of meetings to talk about a possible deal on Dreamers and border security. Miller was there, though many lawmakers didn’t want him to be. Chief of Staff John Kelly and Marc Short, director of legislative affairs, also attended meetings.

But when Miller spoke, he was met with silence with no one knowing just what to say, according to three familiar with the meetings.

“There’s nothing warm and fuzzy about Stephen,” said a former Trump adviser, who worked with Miller and is in close contact with the White House.

On Sunday, Miller got into an argument with CNN’s Jake Tapper on live television while he was defending Trump and criticizing the media. Tapper cut the interview short. CNN says Miller was escorted from the building, but the White House disagrees with that characterization.

“His demeanor is off putting,” acknowledged a lobbyist who shares some of Miller’s positions on immigration and is involved with the negotiations. “It’s more of an issue of the messenger than the message.”

In the fall, Miller helped draft a wish list of immigration policies that the administration had to have in exchange for Dreamer protections, including eliminating protections for unaccompanied children who are in the country illegally; restricting eligibility for asylum, humanitarian parole and abused or abandoned foreign children and hiring thousands more immigration officers, prosecutors and judges. Miller had a hand in writing the list but the Department of Homeland Security actually derived the list of priorities based on their needs, according to the White House.

“Stephen is unfairly trying to sabotage this,” said a former DHS official for President George W. Bush who is in contact with Republican staffers in the Senate.

Many on Capitol Hill remember how Miller, then an aide to Sen. Jeff Sessions, an Alabama Republican who led the opposition to the deal, worked in 2013 to kill a bipartisan immigration deal in the Senate that would have allowed immigrants in the country illegally to gain legal status and eventually citizenship.

“Look what happened last time,” said a second former Trump adviser, who worked with Miller and is in close contact with the White House. “He almost single handily blew (the bill) up. They are having flashbacks.”

The Senate passed the bill brokered by the so-called Gang of Eight, but it was never considered in the House.

Miller sent out hundreds of emails attacking the bill as he went through the text line by line, according to a former Republican aide involved in the 2013 debate. He was accused of working with groups that want to curb immigration in the United States and the far-right news site Breitbart to boost opposition to the bill.

“His immigration viewpoints are extreme,” the former Republican aide said. “Most Republicans are very uncomfortable with that.”

The White House says Miller regularly talks to outside groups opposed to the current deal, not to coordinate with them, but to try to get them on board. He met with some of them Nov. 2 at the White House, according to one participant.

Trump struck a tentative agreement last year with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to protect Dreamers in exchange for increased security at the border, but not necessarily a wall. Trump immediately backed out, insisting on a larger immigration package.

Since then, the president has spoken about ending chain migration that allows immigrants to help get other immigrants into the United States, curbing the diversity visa lottery program that lets immigrants be awarded green cards and building a wall on the southern border. He is expected to visit the border at the end of the month.

“These are measures that will make our community safer and more prosperous,” Trump said at his meeting with lawmakers Tuesday. “These reforms are supported by the overwhelming majority of Americans. They're from every standpoint, from every poll, and they're being requested by law enforcement officers.”

Lawmakers have asked repeatedly for administration officials to provide them with a shorter, more specific list of priorities. Miller was irked that Kelly said he would agree to provide such a list at a Dec. 19 meeting with a dozen senators, according to a person familiar with the meeting.

Miller has remained adamant that the administration wants everything on its laundry list in exchange for Dreamer protections.

“We need them all because the reality is that anything you do on DACA is going to have some predictable consequences, right?" Miller told FOX News Channel’s Tucker Carlson on Monday night. “You’re going to have an increase in new illegal immigration, so you need to have a wall. You need to close the enforcement loopholes.”

On Friday, the administration gave negotiators the same long list as news broke that the White House is requesting $18 billion over the next decade for the first phase of a border wall. “It’s outrageous that the White House would undercut months of bipartisan efforts by again trying to put its entire wish-list of hardline anti-immigrant bills —plus an additional $18 billion in wall funding — on the backs of these young people,” Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin, an Illinois Democrat.

This week the administration provided lawmakers with a DHS document with more information about each of their priorities.

A political operative who works closely with congressional Republicans said Trump can either listen to Miller or he can decide he wants to work with both parties on a deal that will protect Dreamers and increase security, satisfying most Americans. “The president could have had a deal months ago,” the operative said. “He’s actively undermining the president.”

Miller and Sessions, now Trump’s attorney general, along with ousted chief strategist Steve Bannon, pushed Trump to end the five-year-old program launched by the Obama administration that protects young people brought into the country illegally as children by their undocumented parents from deportation and allows them to attain work permits.

Trump was conflicted, keeping the program alive for months and pledging to treat Dreamers with “great heart.” Still, his administration announced in September it will shut down the program — Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA — March 5, giving Congress time to pass a legislative fix.

A bipartisan group of senators, who have met dozens of times over the last two months, including this week, are widely expected to craft the immigration compromise that will protect Dreamers while increasing border security.

Some lawmakers of both parties are pushing for a legislative fix to be part of the deal for Democratic support of a spending package that must be passed by Jan. 19 to keep most of the government operating.

I've had the feeling for a while that Trump knows that it's almost impossible to dismantle DACA because of the outcries from the leftist/moderate camps (think of the endless media coverage how Trump is sending crying American children to South-American death camps) so he will try to make the best of a bad situation. If he can secure funding for the Wall and actually start building it, AND keep up the good work that ICE is doing, it might be worth it in the long run.
But I do often point out that I write both science fiction and fantasy. It’s just that the science fiction is usually titled ‘technical proposal’ and the fantasy is titled ‘budget proposal.’

Trump Administration Says States May Impose Work Requirements for Medicaid

Quote
WASHINGTON — The Trump administration said Thursday that it would allow states to impose work requirements in Medicaid, a major policy shift in the health program for low-income people.

Federal officials said they would support state efforts to require able-bodied adults to engage in work or other “community engagement activities” as a condition of eligibility for Medicaid.

“Our fundamental goal is to make a positive and lasting difference in the health and wellness of our beneficiaries, and today’s announcement is a step in that direction,” said Seema Verma, the administrator of the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Ms. Verma said the Trump administration was responding to requests from Medicaid officials in 10 states that wanted to run demonstration projects testing requirements for work or other types of community engagement like training, education, job search, volunteer activities and caregiving.

The proposals, she said, came from Arizona, Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Utah and Wisconsin.

Federal Medicaid officials said that work requirements should be compared to work requirements in other programs like food stamps, now known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and the welfare program known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.

In a speech to state Medicaid officials in November, Ms. Verma indicated that the Trump administration would be receptive to work requirements and other conservative policy ideas to reshape Medicaid. And she criticized the Obama administration, saying it had focused on increasing Medicaid enrollment rather than helping people move out of poverty and into jobs.

Believing that community engagement requirements do not support or promote the objectives of Medicaid is a tragic example of the soft bigotry of low expectations consistently espoused by the prior administration,” Ms. Verma said. “Those days are over.

Advocates for Medicaid beneficiaries said the new policy was likely to be challenged in court if people were denied coverage for failure to meet a state’s work requirement.

Federal law gives the secretary of health and human services broad authority to grant waivers for state demonstration projects that promote the goals of the Medicaid program. In the past, federal officials said that work was not one of the purposes of Medicaid.

But Trump administration officials said Thursday that work requirements were consistent with the goals of Medicaid, because work and other community engagement activities could improve the health of Medicaid beneficiaries.

“Productive work and community engagement may improve health outcomes,” Brian Neale, the director of the federal Medicaid office, said Thursday in a letter to state Medicaid directors. “For example, higher earnings are positively correlated with longer lifespan.”

It goes on from there, but good times.

Controversial take: The Wall is a stupid waste of money but it’s ultimately harmless. As such if we can get dreamers legalized by building it I’m OK with that since we constantly loose that kind of cash in DC couch cushions anyways.

If this gets the SSDI people off their ass and working as well - at least to the capacity they are able in respect to their condition, I could be a huge boost to the economy

"Why do we want all these people from 'shithole countries' coming here?" Trump told senators in the Oval Office, a source briefed on the meeting told CNN.

The source said Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin was explaining to him a proposal to end the visa lottery in exchange for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for countries such as El Salvador. Durbin was going through a list of TPS countries that would be covered. When he got to Haiti, Trump asked why the US wants more people from Haiti and African countries.

It's probably bullshit but I wish it was true
