i'm honestly fine with that. i've been saying for almost a decade now that at some point the global internet is going to fracture into multiple internets. i'm fine with the normiesphere diverging; there weren't many niggers on efnet.
maybe its inevitable but if that happens it's going to be much harder or arguably impossible to deliver mass redpills.

IOW, pantsshitters may want to get behind net neutrality because unless like you said the bigcos are broken up it acts as a hedge against clownworld media.

the nightmare scenario for me is if basically in 5 years if all the plebes are using free internet service plans subsidized by Zuckerberg that basically limit the internet to Facebook-approved sites. This is exactly what they are doing in the third world with Internet.org. Facebook is fucking evil. Cuckservatives will defend that once its the status quo because of muh free market but that reality would have, for example, prevented Trump from winning because the masses would be mostly consuming fake news.

reddit plebs are retarded. NN is ideologically good and functionally bad. the only people who serve to benefit from the NN regulations repealed are netflix and google shareholders (namely soros, hence the massive social media campaign)
trust busting is what the consumer actually wants.
this is a fair PoV. i think the problem is that the "video consumes a lot of bandwidth" problem seems to be motivating changes (or removal of) regulation that can very well affect the viability of free speech. if legistators and the FCC were smart they'd come up with rules to deal with the massive difference of bandwidth usage between various forms of media that use the Internet, while not giving ISPs the room they need to do fucked up shit like accept piles of cash from Twitter to slow down Gab and Mastodon nodes.

pro-NN people make some good arguments. there's good arguments on both sides. the problem is, pro-NN people are completely misdirected and kind of retarded. autist industry people have very valid reasons to be pro NN, i mean the general normie public on this one.

all the fears they have are real, and net neutrality won't do shit about it. the whole issue is a distraction to placate the masses when what they really should be calling for is a breakup of the regional telco monopolies.

remember when you could get 40 different ISP's to service your address and internet connections of about the same speed used to cost $30 a month instead of $70? this change happened in 2015 with chimp president's NN laws.

back then i had ISP's try to mess with me because I was hosting edgy websites using my internet connection, or downloaded too much porn. and when that happened i would call one of the 39 other ISP's that serviced my address. i'm living in the same area i did back then again, and i have only 1 ISP to choose from (can't even do a dish here)
i'm not rural either, i'm walking distance to multiple corporate HQ's of some of the biggest tech companies in the world.

very few services (jewflix, jewtube) make up the majority of bandwidth traffic on the internet currently, and because of these net neutrality laws you as a consumer are forced to subsidize the cost of these websites traffic into your internet bill already, in a socialized manner. by treating them as public utilities in a legal sense, they're very unfairly advantaged against their competitors. what reddit plebs don't realize is: you're already paying for this shit, whether you use it or not. that's why your internet connection costs twice as much as it did a couple years ago & is probably slower to boot.

redditors also think that net neutrality will bring more competition to the world of ISP's, because they're mouth breathing retards. i keep seeing the "i can only get 1 ISP at my address we need net neutrality" and every single time i read that i can't help but think they discovered the internet after 201*.

a seldom discussed point is also the impact of NN laws on the placement of authority over content on the internet. not only would having the FCC police the internet be bad (look at the state of radio) but hey, good luck ever getting those lazy cunts to go after the monopolies and trust bust when they're bogged down making sure your uncle's facebook status update isn't too racist. just LOL if you think for profit companies like comcast would have the same resources or impetus to scan the internet for wrongthink, when they spend decades ignoring everything that didn't come in the mail with a court order when they did hold such authority.

the "youtube netflix subscription package" meme is probably real. that could very well happen. what the chinese shill botnet accounts currently spamming reddit with upvotes won't tell you is, the base price of your internet connection before those packages will be lower. you may have to pay $5 a month to your ISP for premium jewish entertainment, but your connection's base price isn't going to be the same as it is today because all of those "subscriptions" are already baked into your bill through subsidization of their traffic costs. when youtube and netflix don't pay for their bandwidth, the ISP doesn't just go "welp time to give up on trying to turn a profit" they up their prices.

none of these plebs even knew the early internet.

Third, those companies like Google and Faceberg who larp about "muh free speech" are fucking hypocrites, videos getting demonetized and getting suspended for wrongthink posts anyone?
individual tech engineer employees are almost universally in favor of net neutrality, regardless of if they are libertarian closet Trump supporters (20% of Palo Alto voted Trump) or SJWs because net neutrality makes it so that Comcast, Verizon, Facebook, Google, and others can't fuck people who want to create new sites and apps on the web. it's like the one thing that has almost all people who benefit from the Internet agreeing (not 100% of course, but close) regardless of their political leanings.

tech execs are publically in favor of net neutrality because nearly all of their employees are, and many of them would very realistically quit if their CEO came out against it. however, secretly they are all for removing it, as long as it benefits them. Facebook for example would absolutely love it if they could just pay ISPs to give away Facebook access for free and block the rest of the Internet. The rubes who work for Zuckerberg secretly know this but have cognitive dissonance because they get to work on cool computer problems for him.

can someone explain why Trump is allowing the FCC to repeal net neutrality when the companies that stand to gain from the change are Time Warner (which owns CNN) and Comcast (which owns MSNBC), and literally everyone else stands to get fucked? What am I missing?

There is a lot of [[[BULLSHIT]]] going on behind NN. First, years ago I hadn't heard anything about it until people went crazy over some clown in charge at the FCC threatening to kill the internet. Of course it died down when the Chimpanzee in Chief did something here and there and wham! he officially saved the internet, of course people are idiots and didn't realize that Obongo appointed the fucker who started the shitstorm in the first place. Second, there was the weird propaganda about it, It doesn't make sense a guy like CURRENT YEAR MAN making people aware of the e-apocalypse while his boss Time Warner happened to own an ISP that would benefit from such change. Third, those companies like Google and Faceberg who larp about "muh free speech" are fucking hypocrites, videos getting demonetized and getting suspended for wrongthink posts anyone?. Last, is the word "net neutrality" itself, it sounds like a buzzword the government creates to sell you something, example: "patriot act". From my take, it's a corporate tug o war and either way the outcome, you're fucked.

The meme that tech companies support net neutrality therefore we must be against it is hilarious, because the tech companies like FB and TWTR are 100% full of shit. They have to support net neutrality or else all of their engineers would quit. Secretly, removal of net neutrality would be a huge benefit for them: as soon as they start seeing competitors, they can send piles of cash to ISPs in order to make it so consumers get free internet service that can only access their sites.

Facebook is meanwhile building a completely non-neutral, censored, and centralized network called Internet.org (the balls to call it that show just how little Zuckerberg gives a fuck) and trying to plant seeds in countries that don't have Internet access yet so he can control the entire thing. Zuckerberg's "support" of net neutrality is a gigantic farce, the doublespeak just ensures he stays just enough on the side of the line that keep his engineers (who mindlessly continue to build his surveilance machine) from walking out the door.

With smartphones, the idea of there's only a single internet provider in your area is laughable.
That's a really retarded opinion

Nevertheless, I am right.
